How fast would a 15 HP yamaha push a 15 ft flat bottom Jon boat. One 150lb man and a trolling motor and limited gear.

I had a 16' Lowes flat bottom with 15 HP Merc. You will go pretty damn fast. Too fast in a chop. You will have to slow down.

I'm thinking low 20s at best.  I had a 12' Jon boat with a 15hp Yammi and it moved pretty good but only in the mid 20's maybe, that is just a guess.

Some people just love to go fast. Some people slow down and catch most of the fish. IMO

No matter how fast you go, it will feel much fast sitting that low.
