This may have been brought up before but I can't find it in the Search feature...

I've watched alot of everyone's slideshows on Vimeo and other places and was just wondering what people were using to make their slideshows and adding music.

Just recently bought a Nikon D40 for the wife for Christmas and hope to post some pics here.  Always had a point and shoot but never made any kind of slideshows.

Thanks in advance.

I have always just used the Windows Movie Maker for my slides. It is already on my computer (free) and pretty easy to use. I would go with that if you have it, and plenty of videos on youtube to show you how to add music and such. If you don't have Windows Movie Maker go to Downloads.com and type in a search for free video editing software.

For the Mac users, Iphoto which is the standard free software from Apple, has a great slideshow feature.

I'm looking for a new one also. I found a ship-load of them at zdnet under downloads.
