I'm doing a write up for the blog. Any preferences to patterns for the fall run? Mullet patterns? Yeah? No? Maybe? |

Fall means more tailing fish so I like a lightly weighted shrimp or gobie pattern with some gold flash in it! __________________ DoubleHaul |

If blind casting, a chart/white clouser is hard to beat allowing you to cover more water in less time. DoubleHaul's crab and EP flies are great. An Electric Chicken, chart/pink clouser is also good. If fishing deeper water, use a clear sink tip line to fish close to the bottom. The fly is never as important as the presentation. Wind has been very strong from Ida and will be with us a few more days. __________________ Fly Guy |

With the lower tides I like a olive Sea Ducer. It lays down silently. Of course the usual Dupree's Spoon Fly and TK Special will do it too. __________________ It's only $25.00. If you fish inshore anywhere in Florida, you have NO EXCUSE not to belong to CCA!

Right now. Small has worked best.
I am not a really clouser kinda guy, but lately it has been on my rod. Very small, very sparse. But with enough weight to get down infront of the fish.
Otherwise, I am fishing very small shrimp patterns (fall shrimp run, and they are silent.. What I have tied on right now), Small toads, or smallish EP patterns. This time of year I like natural colors on the slightly darker side, water is clearing up, but still has color too it.
Ahh getting back to fishing is nice!
