Hi everyone...my boat is dead and I have a buddy in town who wants to fish so, wading is my only way to go..but alas, I have no good idea where to take him. I tried the Arrowhead area of Ft. desoto last week, and nothing. I live in St. Pete and any suggestions will be much appreciated! THANKS! |

You can wade the flats off Pinellas Point. __________________ Malibu Pro Staff Team Member

PM me your real email. I'll send you a report I just wrote for somebody a week-or-two ago.

At Ft. Desoto go past the east beach to the end of the mangroves and wade out to the dropoff, its quite a ways out there but its worth it. You should be able to catch an assortment of fish. |

AND LISTEN TO TAMPAJIM!!!!
Those flats are barren wastelands devoid of all living things. Ditto the south side of the Howard Frankland Bridge just before you get off the bridge coming from Saint Pete.
Another place I would avoid is any of the flats around fourth street. In more than forty years I've never caught a single fish there. Nobody on the forums has ever caught fish there.
