anybody have a clue of what the costs of hauling a boat are? I'm considering the purchase of a project boat of 37' (flybridge removed) about 40 miles. I have no clue about costs... __________________ E. Gill

Do you want pro's ? http://www.jouleyacht.com/( Joule Yacht transport)
Though I am sure in this economy that you could shop around for an independent. Just make sure they are insured.

Think you mean transporting or trailering it. Gonna need a lowboy and oversize premits. No clue of the cost.
For hauling it out, Shell Point Marina charges $250 to haul it out and place it on a trailer. If it's on a rack already, it must be lifted by a travel lift and placed on the trailer. Probably close to the same price.
Remember, if it's in the water, you gotta haul it out. __________________ "He loves nature in spite of what it did to him." - Forrest Tucker |

It's on jacks now and want it 'moved' to my location. I made a few calls and was surprised that the costs are only about $1,000 for 50 miles. The expensive part is the crane rental--ouch. __________________ E. Gill
